All-Church Retreat

Our all-church retreats are hosted at Pilgrim Firs, a UCC-owned camp facility in Port Orchard, Washington.

We do not any retreats planned at this time, please check back!

Accommodations: After a fun and easy drive, arrive at the contemporary, two-story lodge with private, comfortable rooms and gender-divided restrooms with showers. This building’s community area is expansive, with a large fireplace, cathedral ceiling and huge windows. It is nestled in a wooded setting linked with other buildings by wide trails. There are also smaller cabins available nearby.

Recreation:During your stay, you can hike around the lake, paddle a canoe on the lake, or watch for critters. You can play ping-pong near the meeting lodge, board games in our lodge, and ball games on the huge mowed-grass field, which also has a volleyball net and basketball court. A rock labyrinth waits for you to have a contemplative walk. Folks bring books to read, and hobbies to share. The main lodge also has an art room, and you are invited to choose a rock to paint. All of the above activities can be pursued at any time.

Schedule: In the past, we’ve had an opening evening gathering, outdoor worship service, and an optional organized walk or group-craft time. Individuals are free to choose what to do moment by moment (except for meals), assuming you don’t bother any other guests that might be sharing Pilgrim Firs with us.

Food:Meals are served buffet-style at specified times in a spacious meeting lodge. A true retreat with no cooking or dishes to wash! The food is fabulous: bagels, eggs, bacon, and more for breakfast, make-your-own-taco or deli sandwich for lunch, and dinner might be salmon or steaks. The meeting lodge is open all day, with coffee and other beverages always available.

Another special place for our church family is N-Sid-Sen, a UCC-owned facility located on the shores of Lake Coeur D’Alene in northern Idaho.
