To the Prospective Wedding Party

On behalf of the church family at Magnolia United Church of Christ, we rejoice with you in your wedding! We want to help you plan a memorable ceremony and reception to mark this sacred and joyous occasion.

We will work with you to make sure your wedding is as distinctive as you are. We invite you to attend worship and get to know us better. The better we know you, the better your wedding will be. Our wedding team looks forward to working with you. 

After you have checked with the Church Administrator at 206.283.1788 regarding available dates, the next step is to schedule a tour so you can get answers to all your questions.

I am very pleased to perform weddings. I will want to meet with you to get acquainted and to help you have a meaningful ceremony. If you wish to have a minister from another church participate in the ceremony, please let us know right away.

We can provide you all the information necessary to assure that the wedding and surrounding tasks run smoothly. We look forward to working with you both and assisting in making this a special and memorable time.

Wedding Ceremony Service

  • Sanctuary Service (maximum 200 guests). . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  $1,700*

Covers use of the Sanctuary, Parlor, Narthex, and two dressing rooms for four hours + Pastor, Organist /Pianist, “Day of” Event Coordinator and Custodian.

 

*A $250 security/damage deposit + registration form secures your date. The Sanctuary Service fee of $1700 is due 30 days prior to event. Security deposit will be retained if wedding is canceled and will be returned after the wedding if no damage / exceptional cleaning is needed.

Participation of minister or organist from another church is subject to approval and does not affect the above stated fee structure.

Reception Services

A $250 refundable security deposit is required to secure the space and to hold your date. It covers possible overtime charges, damages and excessive cleaning if needed, following the reception. The refund of any unused portion will be made within 30 days after the reception.

  • Parlor Reception (maximum 50 guests) . . . . . . $550

Your rental includes:

  • Use of the Parlor for a total of four hours to set up, decorate, operate, teardown and clean up. We suggest one hour for set up, three hours for event and clean up.
  • Use of tables, chairs, restrooms and small kitchenette for staging food.
  • Facilities Coordinator and Custodian.

 

  • Pilgrim Hall Reception………………………….$1,550.00
  •      Maximum guests seated:  200     Maximum guests standing:  250

Your rental includes: 

  • Use of Pilgrim Hall for a total of five hours to set up, decorate, operate, teardown and clean up. We suggest one and a half hours for set up, three and a half hours for event and clean up. All events must end by 10pm.
  • Use of tables, chairs, restrooms and large kitchen for staging food.
  • Facilities Coordinator and Custodian.
  • Use of sound system.  (Facilities Coordinator must be present for use of sound system)

 

The church is surrounded by private homes, and all receptions must conclude by 10:00 pm, or earlier, regardless of when they begin.

The total cost of your wedding and reception are payable thirty days prior to your event.
