Upon meeting Joy it is evident that she embraces hope, strength and truth. Her life is based in faith, love and God. She truly cares. As a pastor Joy promotes open theological exploration while nurturing a deep commitment and belief in prayer, spiritual deepening and service. Not only has she spent the last 31 years as an ordained minister, she grew up as the daughter of a UCC minister. Joy has a firm grasp on what it means to serve as Pastor and has a passion for shared ministry – nurturing and supporting the gifts of the church and it’s members.

Sarah Riskind







Sarah Riskind, Music Director

Sarah Riskind is a doctoral student in choral conducting at the University of Washington. With degrees from Williams College and the University of Wisconsin at Madison, she was most recently active in the Boston musical scene as a choral conductor, composer, vocalist, and music educator. Sarah has directed ensembles at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, The Walden School, Williams College, and the First Parish Church of Berlin, MA, as well as assistant-conducting the Renaissance choir Convivium Musicum and the Boston Children’s Chorus. She also founded and directed the summer ensemble RenWeek Boston in 2015 and 2016. Her compositions have been performed by choruses and chamber ensembles in MA, VT, NH, WI, and WA. A dedicated teacher, Sarah has also taught music at the German International School of Boston and The Walden School, a unique summer camp in New Hampshire that nurtures creativity in young musicians.
